Anti-Wrinkle Injections

Anti-wrinkle injections are one of the most popular, non-surgical cosmetic treatments available worldwide. It will temporarily reduce or eliminate frown lines, forehead creases, thick neck bands and crows feet near the eyes. By temporarily blocking the nerve impulses, the muscles that cause wrinkles relax, giving the skin a smoother, more refreshed appearance.

The benefits of Anti-Wrinkle Injections

  • Has been used safely and effectively for wrinkle therapy for over 21 years

  • No downtime

  • It is a purified protein

  • Short appointment time

  • Allows for natural movement

  • Results can last up to 3 months, and even longer with repeated use

Anti-Wrinkle Injections are most commonly used for the:

  • Glabellar frown lines (deep creases between the eyebrows)

  • Forehead wrinkles

  • Crows feet (wrinkles on the lateral aspect of the eyes)

How is it Performed?

Used in a cosmetic medical setting as an injectable form of sterile, purified protein, small doses of anti-wrinkle injection block the release

of a chemical called acetylcholine by nerve cells that signal muscle contraction. These few tiny injections block the nerve impulse, relax the muscle and the dynamic wrinkle overlying the muscle is smoothed away. Since the injection only relaxes the muscle beneath the injection site, it has no other effect on other elements of facial expression.

The effects of Anti-Wrinkle injections usually last 3-4 months, at which time another injection is required if the continued result is desired. After several treatments, the effects often begin to last longer. Repeated use is truly anti-ageing!

Dermal Fillers

The plump appearance of healthy skin is due to hyaluronic acid. Babies feel so nice because their skin is full of hyaluronic acid. As you age, levels of natural hyaluronic acid in the skin decrease with time, sun exposure and lifestyle. The result is the appearance of lines, furrows and wrinkles. Dermal fillers can correct wrinkles, improve lip definition, and address the signs of ageing from the inside out.

Benefits of Dermal Fillers

  • No allergy testing necessary

  • Natural, long lasting but not permanent

  • Restores volume and fullness instantly

  • Smoothes wrinkles and folds

  • Provides luscious lips

How it Works

All young skin has one thing in common: hyaluronic acid. Found in all skin tissue and identical from species to species, this building block of sorts, fills out the space between collagen and elastin fibres in the skin, holding in water and maintaining the skin’s volume. With age, levels of hyaluronic acid in the skin decrease so we end up with furrows, wrinkles and often thinner lips. By injecting dermal filler into the skin the depressions in the skin are filled and the appearance is considerably softer and the wrinkle may be eliminated.

Dermal fillers are injected directly into the skin in tiny amounts using an ultra-fine needle. A local anesthetic block can also be administered. Furthermore, if the patient does not like the result, Dermal Fillers can be dissolved with a natural enzyme within hours- the skin will return to its former state as it appeared before the injection.

Droopy Earrings

Over time our pierced ears holes become stretched and our earrings do not sit as correctly as they should. If you have stretched earring holes, a small amount of dermal filler is the solution to combat drooping. It also plumps the area and lift slack lobes.
